Overview & Objectives

To complete CHC50113 Early Childhood Education and Care, students need to complete 28 units of competency consisting of 23 core units and 5 elective units. Entry Requirement

  • Preferably year 12 or equivalent
  • Possess IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
  • Access to computer with internet connection
  • Complete the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) form (create hyperlink to this website https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Stud/More/Genuine-Temporary-Entrant )
  • Have Statement of Purpose (SOP) declaration
  • Have Unique Student Identifier (USI), if you do not have USI yet click here https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi
  • Able to provide a Police Check with no disclosure
  • Able to provide a Working with Children Check
  • Able to complete a First Aid Course (HLTAID004 Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting)
  • Able to complete 440 Hours of work placement
  • Able to maintain 80% of the required attendance of 20 hours per week in a study period.
  • Able to maintain required course progress.
